The Catholic Missourian is the official newspaper of the Diocese of Jefferson City. The print edition is published bi-weekly on Fridays, 26 times per year. The online edition is available daily at CathMo.com.
The Catholic Missourian serves to inform people about diocesan events, programs, news, announcements and personalities.National columnists and news articles provide information and commentary on the issues of the day in light of the Gospel and the Church’s reflection on it, as well as definitive teaching from official leaders. Quarterly supplements are included from the Missouri Catholic Conference as well as regular reports and statements on national and state legislative issues from a Gospel of Life perspective.
The newspaper welcomes photo and written submissions on Catholic topics of regional interest. We are always looking for parish correspondents (click form here) to alert us about local news and events that people throughout the diocese would enjoy reading. The deadline for story submissions and editorial content to the print edition of The Catholic Missourian is one week prior to the publication date.

Featured Columnist of The Catholic Missourian:
Mark Saucier serves as the mission director for the diocese. A native of St. Francis Xavier parish in Taos, he attended Helias High School and the University of Notre Dame. He holds a master’s degree in religious education from Notre Dame with additional graduate work in communications at the University of Missouri and Loyola University, New Orleans. Mark has been with the diocese for 40 years and has written a weekly reflection for The Catholic Missourian since 2000. He and his wife Carolyn have six adult children and are members of Immaculate Conception parish in Jefferson City.
