Viva Cristo Rey
Sunday, November 20 is the Feast of Christ the King and is the Global Celebration of Young People as promulgated by Pope Francis. We will be having our first Celebration of Young People at Our Lady of Lourdes in Columbia, MO. The day will have:
- FELLOWSHIP: Food Trucks to enjoy as you arrive to the parish. (please bring money for this portion only)
- REFLECTION: Hear from Brian Greenfield, a dynamic speaker who was MC at NCYC 2021 and on the stage at numerous Steubenville Conferences.
- PRAYER: The final hour we will have exposition, adoration and benediction with Bishop McKnight.
The Theme for our celebration of young people is Viva Cristo Rey. This was the battle cry of Christians in Mexico from 1926-1929. This violent time in Mexico was an imposition of secularism and anti-Catholic movement. Many lives were lost through Martyrdom while yelling out ¡Viva Cristo Rey! In our world today, the young people in our churches have an opportunity to bringing hope and glorifying God while proclaiming Jesus as our King.

DRE, Youth Ministry, PSR Coordinator Survey
We are working to better serve our PSR programs and youth ministry groups. We are developing an updated manual that can be used as well as working to see where else you need support. We need your feedback to help guide us! Please take time to complete this survey! We would like to have all responses by December 9. Specific data will be requested to help us know how many kids in each grade are involved in PSR and youth ministry.
