The Missouri Catholic Summit (MCS) is a large gathering of Catholic young adults, age 18-25, from across the state of Missouri. The summit is a day of celebration of the Christian life and fellowship amongst the young Church. Young adults grow together through a warm and vibrant atmosphere, talks from esteemed speakers, reflection, and prayer.

The Vigil Project

Biography

The Vigil project is a Catholic nonprofit music organization and touring band. What began as a music collective in 2016 has elevated into a full ministry with a mission of making music for the Catholic journey. The Vigil Project collaborates with musicians around the world to make and release music for every moment and season of the Catholic journey, while bringing live events to parishes and conferences. They also work heavily with other Catholic musicians to provide resources and formation to elevate musicians and artists within the Church.

Pete Burak

Biography

Pete Burak is the Vice-President of Renewal Ministries and the director of their young adult outreach called id. He is a 2010 graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville, and has a Master’s Degree in Theology from Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, Michigan. Pete is a frequent speaker on discipleship and evangelization, and he is the co-director of Pine Hills Boys Camp. He is a monthly columnist for Faith Magazine, the host of the Spirit-filled Leadership Podcast, the host of the television show G2G: Glory to God, and a member of the USCCB Young Adult Advisory Committee. Pete and his wife Cait have 5 children.

Sr. M. Karolyn, FSGM

Biography

Sr. Karolyn is the Vocation Directress for the Sisters of Saint Francis of the Martyr of Saint George in Alton, IL. Originally from Rhode Island, she graduated with a degree in Theology from Franciscan University and worked as a youth minister and director of religious education in Tennessee for two years. She entered her religious community in 2005 and professed final vows in 2015. She has served within her apostolate in religious education, youth, and young adult ministry for over 2 decades, working in parishes, high school campus ministry, leading retreats, speaking and MC-ing at Steubenville conferences, and now serving as vocations directress, always living by the motto of Pope St. John Paul II, "Be not afraid!"
