Mass Attendance Survey

In order to provide proper pastoral care for the Diocese, the Presbyteral Council and Deans ask that each parish record in person and online attendance for all weekend, Holy Day Masses as well as Sunday Celebrations in the Absence of a Priest (SCAP).

The form below allows a parish to record attendance for Masses and/or SCAPs.

Please submit your information monthly, after the last Sunday of each month and no later than the 15th of the following month. For example, August statistics can be recorded any time after the last Sunday in August and before Sept. 15.

The exact process used for the weekend count is determined by each individual pastor/pastoral administrator.  Please count all people (including children and infants) who enter into the church at each Mass or SCAP, with the count ending at or about the First Reading.  In smaller churches it may be simpler for the ushers/hospitality ministers to discretely make the count during the homily.  Also, please remember to count all ministers who serve at the altar as well.  If you have any questions on this matter, please contact Monsignor Robert Kurwicki.

For online counts, please use the total number of views for the month of all livestreamed celebrations.

NOTE: To enter statistics for additional Masses/SCAPs, click on the + sign. If you have any difficulties with this form, please contact anyone in the Communications Office by calling 573-635-9127 or emailing us.

When the following Holy Day Masses occur, please include them in your counts:

  • Solemnity of Mary, the Holy Mother of God
  • Ascension of the Lord
  • Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
  • All Saint's Day
  • Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary
  • Christmas Day
