Embracing Hope
This holy year of Jubilee invites the faithful to embrace the spirit of hope. A Jubilee Year is an important occasion in the tradition of our Church, focused on promoting spiritual renewal through reconciliation and unity among believers. The Jubilee Year of 2025 will provide opportunities to experience grace, including by participating in special Jubilee Masses or joining a pilgrimage.
There will be a number of special diocesan Masses held throughout the year of Jubilee. Watch for more information about these upcoming celebrations!

In the Diocese of Jefferson City, five locations have been designated as Jubilee pilgrimage sites. Each of the locations was chosen to represent one of our five diocesan deaneries.
All of the faithful are encouraged to make a pious pilgrimage during the year of jubilee, including to any of these sites within our diocese.

Father in heaven, may the faith you have given us in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother, and the flame of charity enkindled in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, reawaken in us the blessed hope for the coming of your Kingdom.
May your grace transform us into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.
May those seeds transform from within both humanity and the whole cosmos in the sure expectation of a new heaven and a new earth, when, with the powers of Evil vanquished, your glory will shine eternally.
May the grace of the Jubilee reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope, a yearning for the treasures of heaven.
May that same grace spread the joy and peace of our Redeemer throughout the earth. To you our God, eternally blessed, be glory and praise for ever.
