“Our Lady of Fatima and her Eucharistic Son” Conference, August 11-12 in Boonville

Ss. Peter & Paul parish in Boonville will host a diocesan Marian Conference — an event packed with catechesis, conversion, consecration and evangelization — on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 11 and 12.
It will be held at Ss. Peter & Paul Church, 322 Seventh St.
The theme will be “Our Lady of Fatima and Her Eucharistic Son.”
Gregory Thompson, a member of St. Peter parish in Marshall, who helps organize Eucharistic and Marian conferences and parish missions, said this conference “will increase the knowledge” of those who attend and “will give [participants] what they need to speak into the lives of those that they love.”
“This is not a ‘rah-rah!’ conference where people go home and in two weeks they’re back to doing things as usual,” said Mr. Thompson. “The healing and renewal that happen to people — not only the ones who come to a Marian conference but the people they touch because of the knowledge that they receive — is going to change lives.”
The Friday conference will start at 5:15 p.m. with registration and snacks, followed by welcome, prayer, sessions, a procession and Mass.
The Saturday session will start at 7 a.m. with Mass, followed by coffee and donuts, morning sessions, lunch, afternoon sessions and 5:30 p.m. Mass.
Scheduled topics and speakers include:
•“To Jesus Through Mary,” by Dominican Father Joseph Minuth, who until recently served as associate pastor of St. Thomas More Newman Center parish in Columbia.
•“Signs of the Times,” by Deacon Patrick O’Toole, inspired preacher and director of the Villa Maria Center in Springfield, Illinois
•“Evidence: It Is Real,” by Tim Francis, founder of You Shall Believe Ministries, and investigator of Eucharistic miracles
•“Why America Needs Fatima,” by John Horvat, researcher, international speaker, and author of the book, Return to Order
•“Men of Valor & The Rosary,” by Mark Kiser, Internet radio host of the “Be Strong, Be a Man” series
•“Transformation by Way of Jesus through Mary,” by Elise Brion, inspirational speaker, author, musician, and minister for Voice of Christ’s Healing.
