40 Days for Life fall prayer vigil in Columbia to begin Sept. 27

Matt Britton, national board chairman and chief counsel for the 40 Days For Life (40 DFL) campaign (www.40daysforlife.com), will be the featured speaker at opening rally for 40 DFL’s Fall Prayer Vigil on Tuesday, Sept. 26, in Columbia.
The fall campaign, including daily prayer vigils from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the sidewalk outside the Columbia Planned Parenthood, will take place Wednesday, Sept. 27, through Sunday, Nov. 5.
The Sept. 26 rally will be held in Msgr. Flanagan Hall at Our Lady of Lourdes parish, 903 Bernadette Drive near Stadium Drive and I-70.
Mr. Britton will shed light on what is happening nationally with 40 DFL as well as Planned Parenthood’s quest for a license to perform abortions in Columbia.
Light refreshments will be served before rally participants travel in a caravan to Planned Parenthood, 711 N. Providence Road, for a 7:30 p.m. candlelight vigil and closing prayer.
40 Days for Life is a peaceful, intensive pro-life campaign that focuses on 40 days of prayer and fasting, peaceful prayer vigils at abortion facilities, and of grassroots educational outreach.
40 DFL vigils across the country have helped save hundreds of lives and draw a growing number of abortion clinic employees into other lines of work.
All are welcome to join Core Team members as prayer supporters on the sidewalk each day throughout the fall vigil.
Parishes are urged to adopt a day or hours during the vigil.
