St. John’s Ice Cream Social is an annual event sponsored by the Altar Society. We have hot dogs, chili dogs, nachos, drinks, homemade cakes and pies, and ice cream. For the children, we have a dish toss, an rubber ax toss game, and washer toss. The ladies bake their best homemade cinnamon rolls, dinner rolls, breads, and candies and sell them at the country store. The ladies work throughout the fall and winter to complete a quilt from scratch. This year’s quilt is made from the quilting stash of a former president of the Altar Society. The quilt is raffled at $1 per ticket or 6 tickets for $5.00. Bingo is played throughout the evening.
