National March for Life 2026 - Held January 23, 2026
Message from Most Reverend Bishop O'Donnell:
Our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, sent a message to all those participating in the 52nd National March for Life being held in Washington DC, expressing his heartfelt appreciation for this “eloquent public witness to affirm that ‘the protection of the right to life constitutes the indispensable foundation of every other human right.” We are blessed as people of faith to truly know that the gift of human life is from God, and we are called as disciples of Jesus Christ to cherish that gift by advocating for a culture of life and continued support for mothers and families.
As the Pope closed his remarks, he entrusted all the participants, and all who support them through prayer and sacrifice, to Mary Immaculate—the Patroness of the United States of America. Let us join in that prayer today. Through the intersession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, may the Holy Spirit, help us grow in our respect for the dignity of all human life.
World Day for Consecrated Life, February 1
Short bulletin quote
World Day for Consecrated Life will be celebrated in the Church on Monday, February 2, 2026, and in parishes over the weekend of February 1, 2026. Please pray for all those who have made commitments in the consecrated life and be sure to thank them on their special day. May they continue to be inspired by Jesus Christ and respond generously to God's gift of their vocation.
Prayers of the Faithful
For those consecrated to God by the vows of chastity, poverty and obedience that they may seek to live their baptismal promises more intensely and have the grace to persevere in their commitment to the Lord and serve with open hearts and willing spirits. We pray to the Lord…
For those who have responded to the prompting of the Holy Spirit to be a consecrated person that they may experience the support of the Church as they continue their growth in holiness. We pray to the Lord…

Let us Pray
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle...
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into Hell Satan and all evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
