Delay in returning from Uganda
Fr. Joseph Luzindana will be delayed in his return from the Diocesan Mission Trip to Uganda. His meeting with the Ugandan Embassy, which he expected would take place during the time he planned to be there, was instead scheduled on August 11. He is expected to return to the parish around the middle of August.
Our Diocesan Administrator, Msgr. Robert Kurwicki, has assigned Fr. Brad Berhorst, Diocesan Judicial Vicar, to live in the rectory at Mary Immaculate and provide sacramental and pastoral ministry until Fr. Luzindana returns. Fr. Berhorst will conduct Tribunal work remotely, and will travel to Jefferson City once a week to work in the Tribunal office.

Abound in Hope
The Women's Ministry office would like to invite all parishioners, men and women alike, to attend a mini diocesan retreat. Join us as we travel to all three parishes in the Jefferson City area and spend time in reflection and prayer for our diocese in this time of transition as we await our new bishop.
Each evening we will be guided by Father Philip Scott, International speaker and retreat leader, as he offers us a time of reflection and also leads us in prayers of impartation of the Holy Spirit upon our priests, our deacons, our parishes, our diocese and our families! There is power in prayer! Join us and add your voice. We are better together!

Let us Pray
In the name of the Father...
As we await the appointment of the next Bishop of Jefferson City, we invite our parishes and faithful to join us in prayer.
For our diocese as we await the appointment of a new Bishop and for Msgr. Kurwicki as he serves as diocesan administrator in the interim.
Let us pray to the Lord.

Prayer for a new Bishop:
O God, eternal shepherd,
who govern your flock with unfailing care,
grant in your boundless fatherly love
a pastor for your Church
who will please you by his holiness
and to us show watchful care.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever. Amen.Excerpt from the English translation of The Roman Missal © 2010 International Commission on English in the Liturgy Corporation. All rights reserved.
Jubilee resources
Discovering God's hope during a Year of Jubilee
This holy year invites the faithful to embrace the spirit of hope. As we embark on this year of Jubilee, there will be numerous opportunities to experience grace, including by participating in special Jubilee Masses or joining a pilgrimage.
There are several new materials available to parishes, including branded assets, promotional materials, a pilgrimage passport and other handouts for parishioners. Please help us promote these unique opportunities throughout the year!
We encourage you to get started with our parish guide to the 2025 Jubilee Year. This guide includes information on how you can get involved as a parish, what resources are available, and ideas for creating Jubilee events at your parish.
This folder will be updated with resources throughout the year. Please continue to check the Monday Morning Memo for new updates!
