Safe Environment Update
Breaking the Silence of Abuse: As a diocese, we are committed to breaking the silence of abuse. When someone is reporting abuse, we must acknowledge their pain and how difficult it is to talk about it. False allegations are very rare. Our initial response to someone who is disclosing abuse for the first time must be compassionate. For those who need to report abuse, encourage them to contact our Victims Assistance Coordinator, Jacqueline Baldwin, (573-694-3199) and to make use of the appropriate State of Missouri hotline (1-800-392-3738) or the Attorney General’s clergy abuse online form. All of this information is also on our website, under the ‘report abuse’ tab. For those who want information or want to convey a message to the Diocesan Administrator, please encourage them to write to us at reportabuse@diojeffcity.org.

Save the Date - July Parish Secretaries' Workshop
Due to ongoing renovations at the Chancery building, the next quarterly Parish Secretaries' workshop will be held in July instead of June this year. This workshop will be hosted in-person, as well as via Zoom on July 23, 2025 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Pastors/Administrators are welcome and encouraged to attend.
We are allocating more time for this workshop to provide in-depth presentations on topics relating to your role as Parish Secretary. Many topics have been covered over the last few years, but we want to know:
- What topics would be most helpful to you?
- What topics should we revisit, or go into more detail?
- What questions do you have?
This is a great opportunity for networking with other parish staff from around the diocese! Please let us know your topic requests and questions by emailing Bernadette Adams at badams@diojeffcity.org.

Discovering God's hope during a Year of Jubilee
This holy year invites the faithful to embrace the spirit of hope. As we embark on this year of Jubilee, there will be numerous opportunities to experience grace, including by participating in special Jubilee Masses or joining a pilgrimage.
There are several new materials available to parishes, including branded assets, promotional materials, a pilgrimage passport and other handouts for parishioners. Please help us promote these unique opportunities throughout the year!
We encourage you to get started with our parish guide to the 2025 Jubilee Year. This guide includes information on how you can get involved as a parish, what resources are available, and ideas for creating Jubilee events at your parish.
This folder will be updated with resources throughout the year. Please continue to check the Monday Morning Memo for new updates!

Help promote our P23 Camp
Camp P23 is an overnight summer camp for junior high boys that pulls from Psalm 23 in looking at Christ and his priests through the identity of a shepherd.

Please help us promote this camp in your parish! A promotional toolkit is now available at this link. This kit includes an 8.5x11" flyer, postcard, bulletin graphics and social media graphics and videos.
