Mandatory training for new payroll system

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Due to last week’s winter storm, we have rescheduled our in-person Paylocity training. We have moved our entire schedule back by one week.

All bookkeepers will need to attend two in-person training sessions; one the second week of February and one the third week of February.

Training dates for bookkeepers are February 9, 10, 11 and February 16, 17, and 18. If you were previously scheduled to attend on a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday date the first week of February, please keep the same day of the week for your training the third week of February. Each training session for bookkeepers is scheduled from 10 am to 2 pm with lunch included.

Parish/School/Affiliate Bookkeepers Training is a two-session, mandatory, in-person training at the diocesan Chancery, 2207 W. Main Street, Jefferson City. Bookkeepers must attend the assigned sessions, based on your parish’s accounting number. Please bring a laptop. If you cannot bring a laptop, please call Cheryl Hertfelder, director of Human Resources, at 573-635-9127. Lunch will be provided for all sessions.

  • Parishes 001-030: Wednesday, Feb. 9 and Wednesday, Feb. 16, 10 am – 2 pm each day
  • Parishes 031-065: Thursday, Feb. 10 and Thursday, Feb. 17, 10 am – 2 pm each day
  • Parishes 066-130: Friday, Feb. 11 and Friday, Feb. 18, 10 am – 2 pm each day

Virtual training dates for principals and pastors remain unchanged. Please see an email from Cheryl Hertfelder, director of Human Resources, regarding your dates, times and zoom links. Bookkeepers are welcome to join the virtual training on approving time if they wish. Each virtual training session is 90 minutes.

Principals and pastors training is an overview of Paylocity Payroll, how to approve time off requests and how to manage time and attendance. Someone other than the bookkeeper will be responsible for approving time of non-exempt employees before payroll can be processed. Other employees, such as directors, managers, or supervisors are welcomed to attend one of these virtual sessions. Please provide their names, job titles and session being attended to Cheryl Hertfelder by emailing HRDir@diojeffcity.org.
