Parish staff enrichment

All parish staff involved in administrative functions are invited to an orientation session hosted by the Moderator of the Curia on June 16, 10-11:30 am via Zoom. Learn about how you can ensure your parish is in compliance with church and civic laws, and how systems provided by the Chancery can help you in those tasks. If you have recommendations of topics for future sessions, please let us know by emailing mcuria@diojeffcity.org. You can join the June 16 session at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83875709598. Please be sure to identify yourself when you log in, so we can admit you to the meeting!

New staff contact information

Jacqueline Baldwin, who has extensive experience in social work throughout Central Missouri, has been appointed diocesan victims assistance coordinator. She replaces Nancy Hoey, who has moved out of the diocese. Ms. Baldwin is a licensed clinical social worker and holds a master’s in social work from the University of Missouri in Columbia. As before, our victims assistance coordinator can be reached at reportabuse@diojeffcity.org or 573.694.3199.

Maureen Quinn is our new director of religious education and youth ministry for the diocese. Her email is maureenquinn@diojeffcity.org (not to be confused with Father Michael Quinn’s email!) and she can be reached by phone at the Chancery, 573-635-9127.

The antiphons

Our pastoral musicians hosted a very informative presentation on the antiphons. If you missed the live presentation, you can find it online here. A hint for priests: since you’ve already received the information in Father Schrader’s presentation, you may want to go to the 30 minute mark for the discussion regarding how to use the antiphons and musical examples.

Catholic Disaster Preparedness Program

Disaster season is upon us! There is no better time to first plan and prepare your family to respond to a disaster. This three part series will look at how to help your family plan for a disaster, how to prepare your parish to respond to a disaster and how to share your gifts with your community. Please join us for this FREE training! Sessions are being held in person and via Zoom, beginning June 24, 28 and 29. For more details, see the graphics available by the link below, or contact Pamela Mallinckrodt at pmallinckrodt@cccnmo.org or 573-635-7719.

Seven Sisters ministry
