Bishop’s messages

Recently I have been in India. You can find pictures and more information on the visit on our diocesan Facebook page, @DioJeffCity. We’ll also be using social media to provide regular updates from my ad limina visit to the Holy See this month.

As a reminder:

Effective January 1, 2020, the IRS has lowered the mileage reimbursement rate to $0.575 per mile. The diocesan rate coincides with the IRS rate, so any mileage incurred on or after Jan. 1, 2020 will be at the new rate. The mileage rate for volunteers is unchanged, remaining at $0.14/mile. Please contact Chief Financial Officer Joseph Braddock with any questions.

Please join us in congratulating LeAnn Korsmeyer, the new Director of Parish and Charitable Services for the Diocese. She is assuming many of the responsibilities previously held by Sr. Kathleen Wegman, and continuing the diocesan Women’s Ministry. Also, please welcome two new administrative assistants to the Chancery: Vickie McElwaine, who will serve as a “floater,” and Brooke Colen, who will provide assistance to Mrs. Korsmeyer and Brad Copeland, who supports parishes facilities and maintenance efforts.

Each team will create the menu, provide and serve the meal to approximately 100 people. For more information, check out this link.
