When the Pennsylvania grand jury report was released, the Diocese of Jefferson City immediately reviewed all names in the report against the information it has regarding clergy who served in the Diocese.
John “Jack” Pender, who was listed in the report as having left the Diocese of Scranton in 1968, was assigned to the parishes of Immaculate Conception in Owensville, St. Robert in St. Roberts, St. Jude in Richland and St. Cornelius in Crocker during the decades of the 1970s and 1980s. He died in 2009.
