The Review Board is a confidential consultative body for the Bishop of the Diocese of Jefferson, which advises the Bishop on policies and allegations of violations of the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People and the Essential Norms. The majority of the members are to be laypersons not in the employ of the Diocese, and at least one diocesan priest who is an experienced and respected pastor. The diocesan Promoter of Justice is an active participant in the Review Board meetings.
The Review Board usually meets three to four times a year, depending upon the need. The meetings are held at the Chancery, usually in the late afternoon or evening.
