2010 FAITH ENRICHMENT SESSIONS
WHY CATHOLICS READ THE BIBLE
The Why Catholic Faith Enrichment Sessions are in-dept faith formation workshops based on one of the topics found in year one of Why Catholic? The two hour sessions are open to anyone who would like to attend but are especially for all small group participants and leaders. The theme for Year One will be: Why Catholic Read The Bible.
This workshop could be titled Why and How Catholics Read the Bible. The upcoming faith enrichment session will provide many answers that Catholics ask about our approach to the scriptures and revelation. Do Catholics interpret the Bible literally like the fundamentalists? Who wrote the Bible and where does it come from? What is Tradition? Are there Catholic teachings that are not found in the Bible? How does the Church interpret the scriptures?
Now is the time to begin to publicize this opportunity in your parish and beyond; invite everyone! Use bulletin inserts as well as face to face invitiations. This would be an excellent experience for catechists and teachers. It will be an opportunity for them to come together to continue to grow in faith and share their experience of Why Catholic.

RENEW-led retreat for parish participants around the theme of each book is held in the Spring. Using the theme of Discovering God in the Ordinary, it will provide an opportunity to reflect on God’s love and presence as experienced through creation, God’s people, the communion of saints and everyday experience. |
