The Catholic Missourian

The Catholic Missourian is the official newspaper of the Diocese of Jefferson City. The paper is published on Fridays, 44 times per year; weekly from September through May and biweekly during the summer months.

The Catholic Missourian serves to inform people about diocesan events, programs, news, announcements and personalities. National columnists and news articles provide information and commentary on the issues of the day in light of the Gospel and the Church’s reflection on it, as well as definitive teaching from official leaders. There are weekly columns by the publisher. Quarterly supplements are included from the Missouri Catholic Conference as well as regular reports and statements on national and state legislative issues from a Gospel of Life perspective.

We welcome photo and written submissions on Catholic topics of regional interest. We are always looking for parish correspondents to alert us about local news and events that people throughout the diocese would enjoy reading. The deadline for story submissions and editorial content to The Catholic Missourian is one week prior to the publication date.
